Who is Eligible?

The Jack and Jill of America Foundation awards grants to organizations that align with our mission, meet our eligibility requirements, and support our funding priorities.

Eligible applicants for our Independent Grants include:

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing with the IRS, exempt from federal income tax, and classified as public charities. Eligible organizations must have a valid IRS determination letter. State nonprofit incorporation or state tax-exempt status alone does not satisfy this requirement.
  • Organizations operating under an eligible 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, provided the fiscal sponsor meets the same eligibility requirements outlined above. A current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the applying organization and the fiscal sponsor is required and must remain in effect throughout the proposed grant implementation period. The MOU must describe the nature of the relationship and how the fiscal sponsorship arrangement operates, identify the start and end dates of the agreement, and clearly specify which organization will be responsible for receiving and managing the Foundation's grant funds if a grant is awarded.
  • Public agencies, including school districts.

Eligible applicants for our Chapter Grants include:

  • Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Chapters. The Chapter is the applicant and grant recipient and must partner with a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that meets the Foundation’s eligibility requirements.
