, Jack and Jill of America Foundation’s inaugural spring soiree and awards dinner, will celebrate over 55 years of advocacy and honor philanthropy dedicated to transforming African American families, one child at a time.

The celebration will occur Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the newly renovated National Museum of Women in the Arts. The evening will include a cocktail reception, full-course dinner, live entertainment, and the announcement our Legacy in Bloom Awardees.

Legislative Luminary

In Congress, Congresswoman Alma Adams is known as the “Godmother of HBCUs.” After joining the US House of Representatives in 2014. Since the founding of the caucus, Rep. Adams has proposed landmark HBCU legislation, and passed many of those bills into law.

Advocate for Women & Children
Wes Moore serves as Maryland’s 63rd Governor, a groundbreaking figure as the state’s first Black Governor. Dawn (Flythe) Moore, as First Lady, leverages her 20 years of leadership to champion women’s empowerment, economic opportunity, and the arts, addressing disparities in our focus areas.

Fredericka (Dulaney) Hill

Jack and Jill Legacy Award
Recipient of the Legacy Award, she’s a retired principal who founded Howard County’s Jack and Jill chapter in 1970, and daughter of Marion Stubbs Thomas. Her leadership nurtured generations of youth, shaping minds, fostering community. A trailblazer and mentor, her impact endures.
